2005的那個聖誕中的聖誕節 初次在美國跟老外過聖誕節 那是Ming 第一個 也是最後一個在DC的聖誕節
過了斯夜…… Ming遞了辭呈 離開了那美國最多回憶的 Washington, District of Columbia…..
記得當晚…..
這群DC酒國幫 八點多結束了第一場次的廝殺 步出了酒吧…..
恰巧的 Ming電話響起….. 看了看手機沒顯示名字 而是那不太熟悉的區域號碼505…
心想應該是新墨西哥的房屋仲介打來的 索性的直接掛上了電話 反正也是半醉半醒.....@@ Ming連續掛了兩次電話 這不尋常的動作引起了 K的注意…. K 索性的問…..
K: “ Ming, that’s the 2nd time. Why didn’t you pick up the phone?? Who was it?? ”
Ming: “I don’t know. The area code is 505…. Maybe just some apartment rental agents calling from New Mexico… It is not a big deal…… ”
K: “Well… it is almost 9 here, and I don’t think a rental office will call you at this time especially on a Friday…. Someone called you twice; are you sure you don’t want to call this guy back?? Give me the phone, I will call it back for you……”
Ming: “Are you sure??! It is weird if you call for me….”
K: “WHATEVER!! It is Christmas!! And I am fucking drunk!!”
就這樣的 K 接過了電話 用Ming的電話照著剛剛的未接來電撥了回去…. 有趣的是就這麼發生了 兩個相距2000英里完全不認識的陌生人舊用著另一個人的電話聊了起來…..＠＠
依稀記得這麼一段經典的對話……..
K: “Hello, this is Kiersten calling from Ming’s cell phone. We are having a party now. Who am I speaking to please…..”
Sam: “Merry Christmas!! I am one of Ming’s friends. Who am I speaking to please?? ”
K: “Well….. I am Ming’s best FE~~MALE friend in all the DC area…. And who are you please….. ”
Sam: “Well, If that’s the case…. I will be Ming’s best MALE friend in all New Mexico area….”
K: “Really…. Wow it is nice to know that…..”
K: “Ming~~~~ He said he is your best friend in all New Mexico area…. Do you have any friends in New Mexico??! ”
Ming: “Sam?! Is that you?? I am sorry…. I was drinking with my friends…..”

…….
. 就這麼在半醉半醒之間
一邊跟著K與Chan走著要去拿車前往下一場的廝殺 一邊跟Sam開始在電話中談新工作的薪資 簽證 跟綠卡的問題…… 拿了車 一夥人蹲在路邊等著Ming….
談了大約20分鐘…
其間的期望的綠卡談判破裂…..＠＠ 薪水倒是多A了幾千塊…..
依稀記得最後的對話……
Sam: “We never hired a guy who needs a H-1 VISA…. We can figure that out how to deal that later on. And Anotine said he cant promise offering you Green Card for now. Because we barely know you so far, we can work on that after you work here for couple months…. Antoine is willing to offer you xx-K a year… We can make some adjustment couple months later…. That’s the best offer we can do now…. Do you need more days to think it over??!”
Ming: “ok…. I understand that… can you wait me for a minute?? ”
Ming; “Sam? Thanks for this Christmas present. I had made my mind. I am taking this job now… Thanks for making this offer….I appreciated it…. ”
Sam: “That’s great!! It is nice to hear that. We can work on when is your 1st day gonna be next week. I think you have another reason to celebrate over the weekend…. Merry Christmas, Ming…… ”

I just took the offer!! I am moving to New Mexico!!
好大的一個聖誕禮物….. 又莫名其妙的找到新工作了…..＠＠
竟然連面試是都省下來了…… Ming的八字就是這麼重 找工作的經驗都很莫名其妙…..＠＠
這是在美國的第二份工作….. 好笑的是…….. Ming 只真正的郵寄過一份履歷表…..
更好笑的是….. Ming 依舊是一本大學時期的作品集凸全美國……
