In 1933 , the first outdoor theater was opened at New Jersey .

People watched a movie from their cars .

the popular idea were around 5,000 drive-ins across America .

Before th movie , the entertainment began with playgrounds , pony rides and lots of fun for kids .

You could have a small snack or a full meal .

In the 1980s , VCRs , cable TV and other reasons caused drive-ins not as popular as before .

New generations of moviegoers are now enjoying the experience .
