Summer wedding season is here, and as it falls upon us, the biggest question is: what do I wear??!! It may be a panic inducing question, but if you follow a few do`s and don`ts, you can easily cut out most of your anxiety raisers: What to wear to a wedding - indoor day or night:
First, let`s start with the Don`ts:
1. No white!- you are not the bride
2. No black- this is not a funeral
3. Don`t show too much skin- i.e., neck line shouldn`t be too dramatic, nothing see-through, and nothing too high above the knee- this is not a club
4. Not too much bling- you are not the center of attention
Do`s:
1. Pick something in color- it`s a celebration!
2. If you would like to stay subtle, try dark muted colors, like purples, blues, or even grey
3. If you would like some sparkle, pick one statement piece and that`s it! Tips: Safest option if you are not sure, would have to be classic pearls.
4. For the dress portion, a safe choice, again if you are not too sure, would be like an Audrey Hepburn style cut, a simple sheath always looks good.
5. Pick light weight fabrics like a pretty chiffon
6. For a more formal evening wedding, long dresses or shorter cocktail dresses are good options
7. Do bring a wrap/long scarf, sometimes it gets cold, and you don`t want to be wearing a jacket the whole time.
