活躍於流行樂壇超過四十年，出身於英國Sheffield的Joe Cocker喬庫克，以低沉渾厚的煙嗓、強勁獨特的風格，縱橫樂壇多年並成為樂壇備受尊崇的音樂傳奇之一。1968年，Joe以翻唱披頭四的一曲〈With A Little Help From My Friends〉，成功拿下英國金榜冠軍寶座，並成為英國樂壇爆紅的矚目歌手，並收邀參加隔年舉辦的世紀音樂季Woodstock，知名度一路攀升，在七零年代大出風頭。1999年獲Mojo選入「百大歌手名單」第57名、2008年亦再度獲滾石雜誌評選為「百大歌手」名單第97名，音樂魅力橫跨美洲、歐洲，擴散到全世界。其原始粗礪、渾厚感傷的嗓音及極具個人特色的舞台風格，透過藍調搖滾詮釋出充滿生命力的音樂，穿越兩個世紀，至今仍屹立不搖。
