三位留著長長白鬚的老人
A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them.
有位婦人走出屋外看到三位留著長長白鬚的老人站在她家的前院。她並不認識他們。
She said "I don t think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."
她說：「我想我不認識你們，可是你們一定餓壞了，請進到裡面來吃點東西吧！」
"Is the man of the house home?", they asked.
「請問男主人在家嗎？」他們問道。
"No", she said. "He s out."
「不！」她說「他出門了！」
"Then we cannot come in", they replied.
「那我們不能進去。」他們回答著。
In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.
到了傍晚當她先生回到家，她告訴他白天發生的事。
"Go tell them I am home and invite them in!"
「去告訴他們我回來了，請他們進來」
The woman went out and invited the men in.
婦人到外面邀請他們進來。
"We do not go into a House together," they replied.
「我們不一起進一間房子。」他們回答。
"Why is that?" she wanted to know.
「為什麼這樣呢？」她想知道。
One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love."Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home.
"其中一位老人解釋：「他的名字叫“財富”，」他指著一位他的朋友說道，指著另一位說：「他是“成功”，而我是“愛”」接著他又說：「現在進去和妳丈夫商量，你們想要我們哪一位進到你家。」
The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!", he said. "Since that is the case, letus invite Wealth. Let himcome and fill our home with wealth!
"這婦人走進屋子並告訴她丈夫他們所說的。他丈夫簡直樂透了，「太好了！」他說「既然如此，我們就邀請“財富”進來。讓他進來把我們家充滿財富吧！」
His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don t we invite Success?
"他太太不同意的說：「親愛的，為什麼不邀請“成功”呢？」
Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!
"他們的媳婦在屋內的一角聽到他們的對話，也加進來提出她自己的建議：「邀請“愛”進來不是再好不過的嗎？我們家將因此充滿了愛！」
"Let us heed our daughter-in-law s advice," said the husband to his wife.
「讓我們接受媳婦的建議吧！」丈夫對著太太說
"Go out and invite Love to be our guest."
「去！邀請“愛”當我們的客人。」
The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest.
"婦人走到外面問那三位老人「哪一位是“愛”？請進當我們今晚的客人吧！」
Love got up and started walking toward the house.The other 2 also got up and followed him.
“愛”站起來並走向屋子，其他兩位也站起來跟隨著他。
Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?
"驚訝地，婦人問著“財富”和“成功”說：「我只請了“愛”，為什麼你們也要進來？」
The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would ve stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!!!!!!
"三位老人一起回答說：「如果妳只請“財富”或是“成功”，那麼，另外兩人將留在外面。但是既然妳邀請了“愛”，“愛”到哪裡，我們就跟到哪裡。哪裡有愛，那裡也會有財富和成功！」
